Fun of the day

My wife and I were in the car and headed towards vote-casting. It happened this way that we were having our baby in arms as we couldnt let here at home to my Nani. My parents also were with me. So, we kept our baby with my parents and went for the voting.
Unfortunately, my voting center and that of my wife's were at different location. So my wife returned back to the car and allowed my parents to go for vote casting.
Till the time I returned to the car, found that no car windows are getting operated. Tried alot but in vain. Wife said is there anything because of her, I said no. I started the car and then once again gave a try to operate the windows, but no! What to do? Returned home with windows open. Had to took out all the belongings out of the car. Had to park my car to the wall side as close as possible. By the time many people told me that car windows are open and why am I letting that way? Didnt want to show my inability to them I just smiled and said I am cming back in a moment.
I couldnt find any other way than calling a mechanic.
And guess what, I realised that I am a big fool. My car was having a feature to lock the windows, which was unintentionally pressed by my wife when she was alone with the baby in the car!
Hahaha....for the past 3 years, I never operated that feature and hence I totally forgotten that.

Voting Experience

Assembly elections in Maharashtra, India, took place on 13th Oct, 2009. I too was enthusiast about that. Wanted to apply the ink on my finger again. As you know, it always become a dilemma on vote casting. Who is a right candidate in my constituency?

So, I started my studies, looked around the pune.gov.in for the affidavites of the election candidates. Many of reknown party candidates were having criminal background with them. Rest of the members were truely unknown for me. It was irritating for me to know about the nature of the candidates those make their presence. But, vote casting was important, wanted to have an active role in deciding the candidate in my area. Wanted someone should be held responsible for the developmental issues.
On a rational basis, decided the candidate and voted for him.

Announcing daughter's name

This Sunday was a very special day in our life. An occasion being the Naming Ceremony for our little princess!
Now onwards, little princess will be known by the name - Mihika (meaning mist/fog in Sanskrit).
It would have been great to see you at the occasion and blessing Mihika, but couldn't make it possible.
We, my wife and I, were thinking that, Mihika is going to be first child in Pune whose name is 'Mihika'. But, it just took less than 24 hours for me to know that people in my contacts know 4 such Mihikas in town!!! And one of my colleague came rushing to me saying that her baby is also named as 'Mihika' and she's grown up to 1 year plus! Hahaha...that was nice!!

Going Traditional

It's an occasion to do something different, rather wear something which is very unusual in corporates, industries, offices. What am I talking about? Yes folks, today is a special day in office on the arrival of festive seasons..., no other than the king of all festivals in India, it's Diwali to arrive in couple of days from now. Our office going in a different way, for 1 day, to celebrate the joy of festival and festival of lights...!
It is a day to be in different attire, it's a day not to be in formals and casuals too! It's a day to be traditional...!!!And amazing response from all colleagues out here in office. And, I am sure that this is gonna a complete traditional feeling in all minds, so do I! This is something to offer respect to your culture. To feel good and proud about it. To feel more comfortable and more attractive. To feel that workplace is a place of celebration. To feel this something which is special, emotional, occasional moment from the bottom of your heart.
Look around, it's colours, it's dhoti's, it's kurtas, it's shervanis, it's saries, and evry other form of going truely traditional. Showing a great proof of truely integrable part of society and culture.
From boss to member of team, from ground floor to top, evryone and every where it is a joy, joy and joy...
Come, let's celebrate this festive and let's take a curvy trun today and make our life to remember a special day - a traditional day!

Duke's Nose

This sunday we 6 people went for a trek, a trek to 'Duke's Nose'. It is also called as 'Nagphani' in local language.
We started the trek right from the Khandala Railway Station. None of us knew the path. We just went on asking local people and travelled. At one point, we missed the right path and reached to a hill just beside of 'Dukes Nose'! What a pity!!
We returned to the point where we felt that we had taken a wrong path. Fortunately another village-man guided us the right path and within 2 hours we were on top of Dukes!

The view from the top is awsome! You can see Pune-Mumbai Express Way, Railway line and beautiful valleys(in rainy season).

Make sure that you have plenty of water while climbing up. There is no water on the top. Only one small temple.
Also, beaware of the right path, there are lots of chances that you may land up into a vague direction.
